Despite the best efforts of those charged with the detection and prevention of fraud, a wide range of fraudulent activities designed to take advantage of the public are pursued by unscrupulous companies and individuals. These activites take many forms, from faxes and emails encouraging you to call premium rate telephone numbers, to fake invoices for services which were never provided.
